Step 3 – Entering the payment

After clicking on the “new payment” option, a free field will appear for the recipient, where you enter the account number of the person you want to send the amount to. Write the exact amount on the next line – be careful with zeros! You can also add a message for yourself or the recipient (e.g. shopping – food). A variable symbol is used when ordering from e-shops so that they know who sent the amount (your order has its number).

Step 4 – Confirming the payment

The last step is to confirm the payment, where you check all the entered information. When you are sure that everything is correct, you can confirm the payment. With some banks, you only need to click on “confirm”, with others you need to enter a PIN code.

When sending larger amounts, be prepared to enter your ID, which you can find in the documents you received when registering for online banking with your bank.

If you send money on a working day, it will be in the recipient’s account soon (again, it depends on the bank). At the weekend you will have to wait, as the payment will arrive only on the first working day – the same applies to public holidays.

Now you know how to send money to an account, and as you have surely found out – it is not difficult. So go for it!
